One of the few remaining bonbonnières Dating from the turn of the twentieth century, the Stadsschouwburg is one of the few remaining buildings in the Netherlands referred to as ‘bonbonnières’ (literally: small fancy boxes for the presentation of sweets). The theatre’s lavish interior and striking façade serve as an impressive backdrop in themselves. The Stadsschouwburg is characterised by its exclusive and warm ambience. Both the hall and its adjoining foyers are lavishly decorated in classical style down to the finest detail, and they offer scope to accommodate parties ranging from 5 up to 630 people. The fact that the plenary hall has an adjoining foyer, which can be used for reception and catering, renders this a highly suitable venue for events.

This new way of discovering a city via a walking tour with various challenges is a great way to learn about its history and discover its layout.
Simple And Fun
Each Tourist Scavenger Hunt is around 40 steps, 2-3 hours in duration on a 3-4km circuit which brings you back to the start.
