The name of the hotel originates from the name of the muse Erato, one of the 9 muses of Greek mythology. Because of its general central location Erato hotel, gives its guests the possibility to reach all villages of Gouves (dimos), and all destinations of Crete very easily and quickly. Only 500 m away from the hotel is situated the D. E. K. K. (International Exhibition Center of Crete), due to which the hotel remains open during the winter time, as well as the biggest (Aquarium) of the Balkans. Somewhere between those traditional villages is situated the seaside village of Gournes, where you will find the Erato Hotel. A nice small family run hotel with its own history through many years of operation due also to the support of the many repeated “hotel friends”. Erato is built in traditional Cretan style and it is recently totally renovated. It offers not only Cretan hospitality and warmth but also quality service and can provide people who seek for quietness and serenity a unique experience. The number of repeaters of the hotel and friends of the family is the proof of the success of the host family.
