GL Cottages offer visitors and guests a haven of peace and tranquility in the midst of Johannesburg's thriving metropolis. Set high on the Observatory Ridge, where a number of national monuments are housed, it stands above the hustle and bustle of the city and provides those who visit an opportunity for reflection and renewal. The GL Cottages has two conference venues that can hold 24 and up to 40 participants respectively, depending on seating arrangements. GL can also arrange for and accommodate smaller meetings of 10 to 15 people. All rooms are attractively appointed, well equipped, quiet and conducive to work.

The only way to find out about it was via word of mouth. No address was given, the only clue being a sign placed in the window, “Cocktails Here”. A lot of people thought it was pretty cool, even before The New York Times wrote about it. But that was all pre-pandemic, and this is a new era.
