Hotel Alba is located in a beautiful area by the Jyvaesjaervi Lake in Mattilanniemi, only 1.5 km away from the city centre. Hotel has 126 rooms, a highly appreciated, smoke free lunch and a la carte restaurant, a sunny terrace, functional meeting facilities and a spacious sauna section. Our premises have either a beautiful view to the lake or to a peaceful park. Our pleasant meeting rooms are suited to meetings and exhibitions as well as many kinds of private events, such as anniversaries, weddings and group dinners.

Once upon a time in 2016, Matt Levy, founder of Covert Cocktail Club, hosted a secret speakeasy as an intimate place for strangers to gather in his home. The only way to find out about it was via word of mouth. No address was given, the only clue being a sign placed in the window, “Cocktails Here”.
A lot of people thought it was pretty cool, even before The New York Times wrote about it. But that was all pre-pandemic, and this is a new era.
