Situated as we are in Malelane , Mpumalanga on the Southern Border of the Kruger National Park, we are the ideal base from which to explore Big 5 country as well as the scenic wonders of Swaziland and attractions of Mozambique – both border posts are a 40 min drive from our Lodge. River House is 60 km from Nelspruit, one of the host venues for the 2010 FIFA World Cup Soccer, and will be the ideal home base far from the madding crowds! Our comfortable Guest House is located on the banks of the Crocodile River, in complete harmony with the African bush. We have 12 individually decorated en-suite bedrooms with a choice of either 2 single or 1 double bed. Apart from our bedrooms River House has one self catering unit which can sleep up to 6 people. Whilst this is not a freestanding river cottage, it is fully equipped and comfortable, although not as the same standard of the house. Back home the original pump house under our deck has been converted into an intimate chapel for fairytale weddings. Gay flower filled candlelit ceremonies have often been interrupted by 4 legged visitors, much to the delight of the bridal couple and their invited entourage – anything is possible when you exchange vows on the fringes of the jungle …. Small personalized weddings are tailor made to suit most every couple’s whims, needs and for this once in a lifetime event the complete function will be arranged and coordinated by River House.
