Take a cruise on Aqua Adventure’s Maui snuba & snorkel trip. Snuba is a cross between snorkeling and scuba diving. Imagine a 20 ft. long snorkel attached to an air tank in a raft floating on the surface. It’s safe and easy and allows guests to have the benefits of diving without all the gear or training. The boat leaves from south Maui’s Maalaea Harbor at 7:30 a.m. to the first destination, Molokini Crater. The crescent-shaped crater can be seen from the resort and offers clear, calm waters making an excellent location to snorkel or snuba. The second location is Turtle Arches where you will likely see several green sea turtles! The trip includes a continental breakfast and a deli-style lunch.

Located on the north side of the island is the trail to Twin Falls, a favorite hike for locals. This area offers a pleasant spot for swimming surrounded by beautiful landscapes. The first pool you come upon has two waterfalls. If you trek a little further you will reach two more pools of crystal clear water. This is a fairly easy hike, so it would be a nice outing for the whole family. Be sure to bring a camera!

The Kula Botanical Garden was established in 1968 and is Maui's first scenic, educational and native Hawaiian plant reserve. Kula Botanical Garden is home to several varieties of tropical and semi-tropical flowers including Maui's hallmark flower, the protea. The Maui Tropical Plantation is a theme park of sorts -- Maui style! This 120 acre preserve is a working plantation and an entertaining crash course in Hawaiian agriculture, complete with 40 minutes of sightseeing on a guided tram ride through the fields. The plantation produces sugar cane, pineapple, coffee, bananas, mangoes, papayas, avocado, star fruit and macadamia nuts. The nursery is a feast for the eyes, featuring hibiscus, orchid, ginger and more. Demonstrations in coconut husking and lei making, historic displays, a restaurant and a great souvenir and product shop. Great fun for all ages. Located approximately halfway between Maalaea Wharf and Wailuku, right outside the town of Waikapu, 12 miles North of the resort.
