The Townhouse is a privately owned hotel situated in the heart of historic Melrose in the Scottish Borders. The hotel is expertly run by the Henderson family - who also own and run the internationally renowned Burt’s hotel, directly opposite. A sense of style, color and a pleasing ambiance characterize every aspect of the hotel. The Townhouse Hotel’s accommodation consists of 11 en-suite bedrooms ranging in size and facilities, from the most accommodating to the quite indulgent. Our recently refurbished bedrooms are all individually designed and each is unique in its style and character. The Townhouse's recently refurbished function suite can be used to accommodate private dinner parties, business meetings, conferences (seats 70 theater style) and is the perfect venue for small wedding receptions.

The vessel offers comfort throughout with comfortable seating in the deck area, a fly bridge deck gives you a second floor viewing area for entertaining and taking in the incredible views of Seattle’s awesome sunsets, and a lounge below-deck to get out of the wind, if desired, with refrigerator, stove, oven and microwave. There are also two staterooms, each with its own ‘head’ and shower. The master stateroom has a center island queen bed with an office desk. The forward stateroom offers double twin-size beds in a v-berth layout. The Rainbird is centrally located, close to downtown Seattle, Lake Union, U of W, and Lake Washington.
