Visitors can relax and play on over 3.5 miles of sandy beaches in Oceanside. Popular beaches include Harbor Beach, Breakwater Way, Pier View North and South, Tyson Street Beach, Wisconsin Street Beach, Oceanside Boulevard and Buccaneer Beach.
At 1,942 feet, the historical Oceanside Pier is the longest over-water wooden pier in California. Take a leisurely stroll out over the Pacific Ocean, watch the surfers ride a wave, fishermen catch a fish or catch the perfect sunset. At the entrance to the Pier is the Amphitheater which hosts many musical and cultural performances and is available for private event buyouts.

Located at the north end of Oceanside, Oceanside Harbor is San Diego County's most northern harbor. The southern section has a small commercial fishing fleet, sportsfishing and sailing charters and watersports rentals. The north section has a marina with slips for recreational boaters.
Harbor Village is a collection of specialty shops, restaurants, and a sportsfishing center. The wood-framed buildings, steep shingle roofs, and lighthouse are reminiscent of an old fishing village.

The Sunset Market takes place every Thursday night from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the corner of Coast Hwy and Pier View Way*. *Occasionally, the market may be cancelled due to inclement weather or holiday.

Originally built in 1952 as a regulation length 9 hole par 36 layout, Center City Golf Course was the first golf course in San Diego county. The course was redesigned in the early 90‘s by Ludwig Keehn into an 18 hole short course and became known as "Goat Hill" to locals. Designed by architect William Glenn Balch, the Star was from an era when neon was king and every city was building a drive-in or walk-in theater. The Star Theatre is the largest of Balch's 17 theaters that were located in the state of California and the last one that is still open. The marquee boasted being the largest in San Diego County and has been noted for its spectacular animation. It is one of the few remaining examples from its era.
