Why Choose Our Destination?
Oslo has a great location at the head of the Oslo Fjord, surrounded by forested hills. The city is a great destination for those who enjoy outdoor activities. Even in the city centre, the nearest park is never more than a few blocks away. A ten-minute boat ride from the centre takes you to lovely beaches on the Oslo Fjord islands. In the winter Oslo has hundreds of kilometers of cross-country trails within the city boundries, in addition to eight ski centres.
Easily accessible, Oslo is served by 32 airlines, and a high-speed train links the airport to the city centre in 20 minutes.
Oslo has more than 10,000 hotel rooms, from first-class hotels to budget accommodation. Meetings for up to 1000 participants can be hosted in hotels; our purpose-built conference centre in the city centre can accommodate 1400.
Outside the city centre, the largest conference arena "Norway Congress Centre" accommodates 6000 persons in a plenary.
