Welcome to Gamble Plantation Historic State Park. Come join us for a tour of a historic sugar plantation mansion. This antebellum mansion was home to Major Robert Gamble and is the only surviving plantation house in South Florida. It is believed that Confederate Secretary of State, Judah P. Benjamin, took refuge here after the fall of the Confederacy, until his safe passage to England could be secured. Guided tours of the house are given six times a day, Thursday through Monday and there are picnic tables on the grounds.
Plan your wedding here, we have beautiful grounds for your background of any event! The park is a great place to spend your lunch hour, so bring your picnic items and join us for a mansion tour in the afternoon. If you are coming as a group, we recommend calling ahead to reserve space for a tour. Don't forget to check for dates and times of coming events. We hope to see you here.
