Open since 2003, Five Star Almyra is the 21st century reincarnation of Paphos Beach Hotel, Paphos' first seafront hotel dating back to 1972. Today, its 189 extended sea and garden-view rooms and suites, landscaped grounds with beachfront vistas are complemented by almyraspa, four restaurants and four freshwater pools. The family-run hotel features modern luxury touches as standard, including complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the hotel. Integral family facilities include 'Baby Go Lightly' – which lets parents order children's essentials in advance on-line – plus a crèche, kids club, children's menus and 'Baby Concierge'. The hotel offers 189 guest rooms. Meeting facilities at Almyra echo the sleek standards found throughout the rest of the hotel. Five stylish and naturally-lit board and function rooms accommodate 2-250 people, with a dedicated team on hand to ensure that each event is handled with the utmost professionalism and care.

The only way to find out about it was via word of mouth. No address was given, the only clue being a sign placed in the window, “Cocktails Here”. A lot of people thought it was pretty cool, even before The New York Times wrote about it. But that was all pre-pandemic, and this is a new era.
