The Hotel Aroi Bierzo Plaza was renovated in the summer of 2009. It is situated in the heart of the Old Town of Ponferrada, in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento (Town Hall Square). The hotel is perfectly located for business travellers and tourists. From the hotel you can easily access several tourist attractions such as: The Templar Castle (XII century), the Radio Museum, the Bierzo Museum, the Encina Basilica and others. The 34 en-suite rooms have been designed to combine the enchanting features of the ancient restored buildings with all home comforts. Bedrooms and bathrooms were restored with the best materials to create a comfortable and warm atmosphere for our guests. La Violeta Restaurant has a large banqueting room for private functions and celebrations, with a total capacity for 120 guests.
