Il Borgo di Vescine situated in the heart of the Chianti region is a XIII century Etruscan village, the ancient dwellings of which have been transformed into charming guest rooms. Situated at 600 m. above-sea-level, Vèscine allows you to enjoy the tranquility offered by the uncontaminated Chianti hills, while at the same time allowing you to reach the primary cities of art of Siena (20 km) and Florence (42 km). The main characteristics of this charming 4 star Relais are the green countryside, the suggestive atmosphere of times gone by, a beautiful swimming pool, overlooking the entire valley, mountain bikes, etc. Our 19 rooms and 7 suites are all independent one from the other and have been created within the original houses of the medieval hamlet. The evocative atmosphere, the peace and tranquility, the sensation of time standing still are characteristics which make a visit to Il Borgo di Vescine a must.

Strazzanti was created by the 3 Strazzanti sisters with our youngest sister & professional Chef Emilia leading the experiences directly in Sicily. We continue the story and memories of our grandparents who taught us everything about our Sicilian and Neapolitan heritage. Growing up we understood our Italian heritage through them as people, their stories and by sharing, eating and cooking the dishes that they grew up with from their homeland and using the ingredients that our relatives would send to us in England from Sicily & Naples in small parcels. When our grandparents left us, it reinforced as a family that what they taught and shared with us is a huge part of our cultural identity, and we could not risk that heritage disappearing. Together as a family and working with other Sicilian families our passion is to give back to the land and work with like-minded young entrepreneurs, landowners and farmers in Sicily to keep this heritage and Sicilian traditions, which we all lovingly grew up with, alive.
