One of the most photographed and recognized structures in the world, the Space Needle was built as a cultural centerpiece for the 1962 World’s Fair, whose theme was “The Age of Space.” At 605 feet tall, the landmark was constructed to symbolize humanity’s Space Age aspirations, and since its grand opening on April 21, 1962, continues to represent the innovative and forward-thinking spirit of Seattle. The tower’s 520’ saucer-shaped “top house” offers visitors Seattle’s only 360-degree indoor and outdoor panoramic views of downtown, Mount Rainier, Puget Sound, and the Cascades and Olympic mountain ranges.

We recognize Washington’s tribal nations and Native organizations, who actively create, shape and contribute to our thriving communities. Climate Pledge Arena is committed to doing our part to engage with, and amplify the voices of, Native peoples and tribes. This transformational project is the most significant private investment in Pacific Northwest sports and entertainment history. In partnership, Oak View Group and the City of Seattle set out to reimagine and redevelop an arena constructed under an historic landmarked roof originally built for the 1962 Seattle World’s Fair. Laborers’ International Union of North America (LIUNA) members are a skilled and experienced union workforce trained to work safely in the construction and energy industries. As the Official Union Partner of the Seattle Kraken and Climate Pledge Arena, LIUNA Local 242 and its members have played an integral part in the construction of this arena throughout its history; having proudly built the original KeyArena at Seattle Center and assisted other building trades in the venue’s complete reimagination as Climate Pledge Arena. Specifically, LIUNA members performed work in demolition for the rebuild, asbestos abatement, cleaning (including COVID monitoring, disinfecting and final clean), fireproofing, hod carrying and mason tending, traffic control, concrete placement, tunneling work (including drilling and shotcrete application), and landscaping. LIUNA is proud to continue its partnership with the Seattle Kraken and Climate Pledge Arena.

Located in downtown Seattle, across from Benaroya Hall on Union Street, The Triple Door combines world-class entertainment with a world-renowned menu inspired by local Pacific Northwest ingredients. Our Mainstage theatre features touring national acts and our MQ Stage & Lounge is one of Seattle's best destinations for happy hour and local music. History The historic Mann building that houses The Triple Door was originally home to the Embassy Theatre, a vaudeville house that opened in 1926. Built by the Mann and Gallatly families from Wenatchee, the theatre quickly transitioned to films as public tastes began to change in the late 1920s. The theatre remained one of the premier movie houses in Seattle for the next 30 years, but by the early 1960s the grand days of the Embassy had come to an end. It struggled to hold its own as an A list theatre, but managed to stay on as a blue movie and burlesque house until it closed for good in 1983. Renovation Rick and Ann Yoder bought the historic building from Dave Gallatly in 1999 with plans to build a music and dinner theatre in the old Embassy. In the fall of 2002, renovation began with a simple goal: an intimate, comfortable space that would connect performers to their audience. Every effort was taken to preserve the ornate qualities of the old theatre, such as the original stage proscenium and ceiling fixtures. Rich fabrics, plush seating, and state of the art sound would complete the renovation, transforming the grand old space for a new generation of entertainment. A New Generation A venue that redefines the live music experience and radiates urban cool - plush half-moon booths, colorful cocktails, state of the art sound and a Pacific Northwest inspired menu. The Mainstage provides clear sight lines from every seat, and the intimate dimensions mean that even the late arriver to a sold-out show is no more than 35 paces from the stage. The essential idea behind The triple Door is this: provide the best in sound, lighting, atmosphere and hospitality, and you maximize the opportunity to make something real and alive happen between artist and audience.
