God said…. “TATHASTU”… “granted as you desire”… and an ambitious dream came true! It all started with a personal retirement plan that quickly grew into a mad passion to create a multi-specialty world-class destination. We believe that our 15 acres property is now POWER PACKED…. yet… it is ‘YOU’ who has to experience and decide! ‘Pench Tiger Reserve (PTR)’ is spread over 785 sq. km. It was awarded the ‘Best Maintained Park Award’ in 2011. PTR has gained tremendous popularity due to excellent sightings and attracts tourists from all over the world. It’s close proximity to Nagpur, just 90 km on NH7, gives it an advantage in terms of logistics & services. Wildlife population, especially that of Tiger has grown encouragingly. Our park is a paradise for ‘bird watchers’ with 285 species. It also boasts of 45 Butterfly, 33 Mammal, 1200 Plant and 13 Reptile species. ‘Turia Gate’ (2 km), ‘Khursapar’ (10 km), ‘Rukkhad’ (10 km), ‘Sillari Gate’ (35 km) and night safari in Khawasa (8 km) provide great options for jungle safari. At ‘Tathastu’ it is our goal… to provide great options for the mind, body and soul !! Choose out of many options for relaxation, luxury, gourmet food, activity, sport, adventure, art, music, culture, excursion etc. Our upscale & well equipped accommodation options include Villas, Tree House, Caves, Tents and Mud Houses each with its own USP. Our Naturopathy & Ayurveda doctor at Wellness Centre will delight you, knowledgeable naturalists will indulge you in jungle safaris, bird watching or nature walks, artisans of wood carving, pottery, wrought iron, brass casting or painting can teach you and you can simply allow us to guide you through your stay to keep you happily occupied for days. Tathastu has worked with tribal artisans for over 25 years, providing raw material, design, production and marketing inputs to them and successfully marketing their produce in India and abroad. Tathastu has selected woodcarving, wrought iron, bell-metal, pottery, FRP, cold ceramic, bamboo, painting and photography as the mediums of creation to begin with. Mud houses that are being built for artisans will include artisan’s family room, kitchen, dining, a large workspace, a raw material store and most interestingly guest rooms! Yes… mud rooms for guests! Guests can actually stay with the artisan, in his 16” thick mud walls structure, enjoy replicas of a variety of traditional Indian furniture, marvel at the antiques displayed, feast on the food cooked by artisan’s family, eat with them in the utensils typical to rural India, possibly buy their kind of clothes from them and learn to wear it from them, spend time watching or practicing their crafts, indulge in tribal dance and songs, actually make a carry-home souvenir, collect an experience certificate and go back enriched with a first hand experience of the life of an Indian artisan!! So to sum up, we recommend both Pench Tiger Reserve as a wonderful destination and resort Tathastu for its uniqueness! Have a wonderfully wild 2016 Indian style!!
