О нас

The Metropole Maison d'Hôtes rises in the ancient heart of Taormina, located on a peak overhanging the sea and contiguous to the famous Torre dell'Orologio and on the other side to the main street of the town. It is in the close vicinity of Piazza Duomo, Piazza Vittorio Emanuele, Porta Catania and Porta Messina, in the centre of Taormina, taking part to the urban life. The Cableway, which leads to Taormina Mare – Mazzarò and to the bus station, is reachable by walk. The hotel has 23 rooms, 18 of them are suites and junior suites, each room has its own story and each detail is thought with great care but one thing is common to all of them: the triumph of light in a space that becomes part of the line of the horizon so that the sea seems to be part of the rooms.

We continue the story and memories of our grandparents who taught us everything about our Sicilian and Neapolitan heritage. Growing up we understood our Italian heritage through them as people, their stories and by sharing, eating and cooking the dishes that they grew up with from their homeland and using the ingredients that our relatives would send to us in England from Sicily & Naples in small parcels. When our grandparents left us, it reinforced as a family that what they taught and shared with us is a huge part of our cultural identity, and we could not risk that heritage disappearing. Together as a family and working with other Sicilian families our passion is to give back to the land and work with like-minded young entrepreneurs, landowners and farmers in Sicily to keep this heritage and Sicilian traditions, which we all lovingly grew up with, alive.
