Balinakill Country House nestles on a hillside in seven acres of peaceful grounds on the west side of the Kintyre Peninsula in Argyll, easily accessible by air, boat or road. This impressive baronial country house retains a wealth of period features and is set in mature gardens on the edge of the village of Clachan, one of the oldest settlements in Kintrye. Balinakill has twelve en-suite bedrooms, an additional children’s bedroom/playroom, three large public rooms, a fully equipped country kitchen, a Victorian dining room and a cozy gunroom bar with a wood burning stove. A separate catering kitchen is also available should guests wish to arrange full or partial contract catering during their stay. Its bar is often a magnet for those just wanting to chat over a drink, while the dining room allows everyone to sit down to a meal together before dancing, partying or just enjoying being together in the oak room or upstairs lounge. A new conservatory room overlooking the garden leads straight onto the barbecue area and is a light, bright room in which to relax or enjoy games and activities. While staying in the house we can offer a full bar service or alternatively you can fill the bar with your own drinks and serve yourself. Balinakill House offers an ideal venue for corporate events, private conferences, meetings, training events and team building. The conservatory room can accommodate 30 people round the one table while alternative seating arrangements for greater numbers can be set up on request.
