From Tucson International Airport: Exiting the airport you will be on Tucson Blvd. At 1st stop light, turn right on Valencia Rd. At the 3rd light, turn left onto Alvernon Rd which will curve and become Golf Links Rd. From Golf links turn left on Swan Rd. Stay on Swan for about 4 miles. When you reach Grant Rd turn right. The Sheraton Hotel will be on the left on the corner of Grant and Rosemont. Approximately 20 minute drive time. From I-10 – Exit East Grant Rd. Take Grant for approximately 7 miles to Rosemont. Hotel is on the left.

This half-mile long guided walk takes about 40 minutes to complete. It’s the perfect family-friendly introduction to the Cave. You’ll learn about the Cave’s history, its legends (like train robbers and ghosts), and its unique geology. As you descend approximately six stories deep (363 stair steps) you’ll see some amazing cave formations including stalactites, stalagmites, flowstone, box work, and helictites that were sculpted by millions of years of geological activity. Davis-Monthan Air Force Base's role in the storage of military aircraft began after World War II, and continues today. It has evolved into "the largest aircraft boneyard in the world". With the area's low humidity in the 10%-20% range, meager rainfall of 11" annually, hard alkaline soil, and high altitude of 2,550 feet allowing the aircraft to be naturally preserved for cannibalization or possible reuse, Davis-Monthan is the logical choice for a major storage facility. The geology of the desert allows aircraft to be moved around without having to pave the storage areas.

Tohono Chul Park is a botanical garden, nature preserve, and cultural museum located in Casas Adobes, a suburb of Tucson, Arizona. The words "tohono chul" translate as "desert corner" and are borrowed from the language of the Tohono O’odham, the indigenous people of southern Arizona. The mission of Tohono Chul is to connect people with the nature, art and culture of the Sonoran Desert region. The 49-acre site offers a setting for Tohono Chul's regional focus. Overlooking the Santa Catalina Mountains, the park is located in a natural desert habitat within existing migratory tracks of several species of native fauna. Thirty-eight species of birds make their permanent home in the park while another 57 migrant species visit seasonally, and a variety of reptiles and mammals, from Gila monsters to bobcats, may be spotted on the grounds. In 2008, Travel+Leisure Magazine named Tohono Chul one of the Great Botanical Gardens of the World.
