The Museum of Villasimius is housed in a 19th-century farmhouse, and hosts a collection of archaeological finds from the Nuraghic period to the Middle Ages. One hall is devoted to the sanctuary of Cuccureddus, sited next to an ancient landing point which was very active from the Phoenician period to the end of the Roman period. The findings from the sanctuary refer to religious rites, but also to the daily life of the local community. Roman period artefacts include fascinating terracotta ex votos reproducing the faces of the deities and the body parts of the donors.

The Archaelogical Museum contains a rich collection of objects and artifacts about the succession of the island's ancient cultures from pre-nuragic age to the high Medieval period. he history of the National Archaeological Museum of Cagliari started in 1800, when Ludovico Baylle proposed to the viceroy Carlo Felice, the creation of a museum in order to collect the archaeological collections and to preserve the island Natural History samples. His project was approved, and a room of the Viceroyal Palace was destined to the Natural History and Archaeological Cabinet, under the direction of Leonardo De Prunner.

The specific area where the airport is located is Elmas and thus the name Cagliari Elmas Airport. Amongst the local Italians the airport is also referred to as Aeroporto Mario Mameli. Cagliari Airport has two runways. The terminal consists of a 3-storey building with arrivals contained on the ground floor and departures on the first floor. Though the departure is on the first floor it can still be accessed by vehicles as there is a ramp that enables this.

Growing up we understood our Italian heritage through them as people, their stories and by sharing, eating and cooking the dishes that they grew up with from their homeland and using the ingredients that our relatives would send to us in England from Sicily & Naples in small parcels. When our grandparents left us, it reinforced as a family that what they taught and shared with us is a huge part of our cultural identity, and we could not risk that heritage disappearing. Together as a family and working with other Sicilian families our passion is to give back to the land and work with like-minded young entrepreneurs, landowners and farmers in Sicily to keep this heritage and Sicilian traditions, which we all lovingly grew up with, alive.
