The Medieval Hall was built in the mid 13th century – at the same time as Salisbury Cathedral – and, in the Middle Ages, was the setting for great 'feasts' or 'banquets'. It is located within the glorious ambiance of Salisbury Cathedral Close and only 200 meters from the Cathedral itself. The Hall is elegantly proportioned with a fine timber framed roof, the original central hearth, high windows and many other original features. The Medieval Hall is an excellent venue for a wide range of functions. Its historic roots and marvelous medieval architecture help to make it a unique venue with a special and intimate atmosphere. It is a licensed venue for Civil Weddings and frequently is also the setting for the Wedding Breakfast, Reception or Party.
