About us

Lotte Hotel Seattle has become a destination-worthy fixture of Seattle’s downtown business district in the center of the City’s top attractions. One of the few hotels in the city that offers five-star luxury service, the project was built to add vibrancy to Seattle’s downtown – a loving renovation of a historic church and a new build, merging the City’s history with its future. Designed by world-class industrial French designer, Philippe Starck, Lotte Hotel Seattle is where the present and the past co-exist. Two buildings converge to create a reimagining of Seattle luxury - elegant yet playful, reverent yet modern. The nation’s oldest Beaux-style architectural building, founded in 1908 and previously America’s first United Methodist Church, was beloved by the community and carefully restored to become The Sanctuary, a place for once-in-a-lifetime celebrations and events. The renovated building preserves traditional pieces of the church such as the pipe organ and beautiful stained-glass windows and the original dome ceiling structure. Prominently located in the heart of downtown Seattle on 5th Avenue, Lotte Hotel Seattle is just minutes from the Seattle Courthouse, Washington State Convention Center and major tourist attractions such as the Sky View Observatory at Columbia Center, Seattle Art Museum, Pike Place Market and Space Needle and just a 10-minute walk from premium shopping malls, and popular restaurants. The hotel features a total of 189 artistic and modern guestrooms including 32 suites, a cocktail lounge and signature restaurant located on the highest floor of the hotel with a spectacular view of Pacific Northwest as well as a variety of unique meeting and event spaces and extensive facilities from a spa featuring world-class skincare brands Biologique Recherche and MBR Skincare: Medical Beauty Research, to the fitness studio with Technogym equipment. Lotte Hotel Seattle boasts a total of 15 event spaces and meeting rooms, comprised of large and medium-sized banquet halls and 10 smaller size meeting rooms, two ballrooms and three private dinning rooms. The spaces can accommodate up to 920 guests with up to more than 23,000 square feet of meeting space. All meeting spaces are beautifully furnished and equipped with the latest facilities and suitable for occasions ranging from corporate conferences, to social gatherings. Guestrooms at Lotte Hotel Seattle feature an entire wall of floor-to-ceiling windows with views of Seattle’s ports, ferries, Elliott Bay and West Seattle and soak the room in the sunshine of the Pacific Northwest. The mid-century modern room design is inspired by Seattle's natural landscape and the city’s creative and contemporary energy through a warm color palette, wood and marble furniture accents, spacious bathrooms with travertine stone cloaked surfaces, full-length arch mirrors, rain showers and twin vanities – ultimately creating a starkly contrasting juxtaposition with the bedroom space.

Sky View Observatory at Columbia Center in downtown Seattle is the ideal first stop on your visit to the Emerald City. Here you can map out your entire Pacific Northwest experience: riding the Great Wheel, shopping in Pike Place Market, hiking the Cascades, ferrying to Bainbridge Island, cruising Elliott Bay and exploring the San Juan Islands. Sky View Observatory is located on the 73rd floor of Columbia Center. At 902 feet it offers the tallest public viewing area in the Pacific Northwest. The 360 degree panoramic view includes Mt. Rainier, Bellevue, the Cascade Mountains, Mt. Baker, Elliott Bay, the Olympic Mountains, the Space Needle and the city of Seattle. Developed by Martin Selig, the 76-story, 1.5 million square foot Columbia Center was completed in 1985. Clad in smoked tempered glass and Carnelian granite, the structure boasts 8,800 windows, 2,100 hydronic heat pumps, 48 elevators, and 6 escalators. The many technical innovations required for such a large scale project, such as viscoelastic dampers and triangle shaped bracing, enable Columbia Center to withstand earthquakes and hurricane force winds, making it one of the strongest and safest buildings in the Pacific Northwest.

One of the most photographed and recognized structures in the world, the Space Needle was built as a cultural centerpiece for the 1962 World’s Fair, whose theme was “The Age of Space.” At 605 feet tall, the landmark was constructed to symbolize humanity’s Space Age aspirations, and since its grand opening on April 21, 1962, continues to represent the innovative and forward-thinking spirit of Seattle. The tower’s 520’ saucer-shaped “top house” offers visitors Seattle’s only 360-degree indoor and outdoor panoramic views of downtown, Mount Rainier, Puget Sound, and the Cascades and Olympic mountain ranges.
