The Lantern
About us
The Lantern curates meeting and event space where people can come and do the things that will help make our community a stronger and more vibrant place. Nestled between the Ecclesiastical Heritage District and the trendy Georgestown Neighbourhood of St. John’s, The Lantern offers a variety of affordable and accessible program and event spaces. From our 4,000+ sq ft Conference Centre to our cozy Library, we have six rooms of varying sizes suitable for events ranging from wedding receptions and art fairs, to small group team building exercises and private meetings, to everything in-between! As a non-profit social enterprise, we’re an event space with a heart; rental revenues at The Lantern help cover the cost of providing free or subsidized space to community and peer support groups that are unable to pay.
