The Grand Hotel des Iles Borromees is located in Stresa, on the shores of lake Maggiore and combines sumptuous elegance and tradition with the charm of the Italian luxury Grand Hotels. This small piece of paradise is close to Milano and it is easy to reach from the most important airports of northern Italy Malpensa airport and Linate airport. It offers 156 well equipped rooms and 15 meeting rooms to host all kinds of special events. Lounges are furnished in opulent shades of blue, purple and gold, the magnificent suites are a blend of luxury and state of the art comforts. In the elegant lake view dining room or of our restaurant guest enjoy a truly unique gastronomic experience, savoring the flavors of a locally –inspired cuisine and assisted by our highly skilled waiters.

Strazzanti was created by the 3 Strazzanti sisters with our youngest sister & professional Chef Emilia leading the experiences directly in Sicily. We continue the story and memories of our grandparents who taught us everything about our Sicilian and Neapolitan heritage. Growing up we understood our Italian heritage through them as people, their stories and by sharing, eating and cooking the dishes that they grew up with from their homeland and using the ingredients that our relatives would send to us in England from Sicily & Naples in small parcels. When our grandparents left us, it reinforced as a family that what they taught and shared with us is a huge part of our cultural identity, and we could not risk that heritage disappearing. Together as a family and working with other Sicilian families our passion is to give back to the land and work with like-minded young entrepreneurs, landowners and farmers in Sicily to keep this heritage and Sicilian traditions, which we all lovingly grew up with, alive.
