Huvudtornet är en framstående skyskrapa i Frankfurt, Tyskland, som står 200 meter (656 fot) högt, inklusive dess antenn. Den har 56 våningar och är känd för sin moderna arkitektur, glasfasad och offentliga observationsdäck, som erbjuder fantastisk panoramautsikt över staden och omgivande områden. Städelmuseets historia:
År 1815 hade fotografering, skrivmaskinen och cykeln ännu inte uppfunnits. Johann Wolfgang von Goethe skrev en dikt om ginkgobladet som en symbol för kärlek och vänskap, och i Frankfurts botaniska trädgårdar, Palmengarten, planterades en kopparbok som fortfarande växer där idag. Det var också samma år som bankiren och kryddhandlaren Johann Friedrich Städel i Frankfurt testamenterade sitt centralt belägna hus på Rossmarkt, sin konst- och boksamling och hela sin förmögenhet till stiftelsen som bär hans namn. I sitt testamente föreskrev han att ”Städelsches Kunstinstitut” med omedelbar verkan skulle vara öppet för folket i Frankfurt som museum och konstskola - dagens Städelschule. För sitt konstinstitut ville han bara ha det bästa: de ”medelmåttiga” verken i hans samling av cirka 500 målningar skulle säljas för att samla in pengar till ”bättre”.
