The only waterfall in the state on National Geographic's list of International Waterfalls, and often called “The Grandest Mile of Scenery in Colorado," Seven Falls is situated in a 1,250-foot-wall box canyon between the towering Pillars of Hercules. Take in stunning valleys, striking rock formations and golden prairies as you climb the challenging 224 steps to the hiking trails and the banks of glistening streams that feed the falls, and its 181-foot drop of falling water.

Located in the secluded South Cheyenne Canyon, The Broadmoor Soaring Adventure consists of 10 zip lines (divided between two courses) that range in distance from 250 feet to 1,800 feet as well as moderate hiking, rope bridges, and a controlled 180-foot rappel that offers stunning views of the waterfalls and the canyon below. The Garden of the Gods Park is a registered National Natural Landmark in Colorado Springs. By the 1870's, the railroads had forged their way west. In 1871, General William Jackson Palmer founded Colorado Springs while extending the lines of his Denver and Rio Grande Railroad. In 1879, General Palmer repeatedly urged his friend, Charles Elliott Perkins, the head of the Burlington Railroad, to establish a home in the Garden of the Gods and to build his railroad from Chicago to Colorado Springs.
