Carver-Hawkeye Arena: The 15,000 seat facility is home to the University of Iowa's men's and women's basketball teams, women's volleyball, wrestling, and men's and women's gymnastics. Carver has been host to the Big Ten and NCAA wrestling championships and Big Ten and NCAA regional and national gymnastics championships. Kinnick Stadium: Kinnick Stadium serves as the site for Iowa home football games. With a capacity of 70, 585, Kinnick ranks as one of the 20 largest college-owned stadiums in the nation. Backpocket Brewing: One of Iowa’s newest breweries and maker of world class craft beers. The 15,000 square foot facility features a large tap room and beer garden for the public. Visit the tap room to enjoy fresh beers, oven-fired pizzas and a spacious beer garden, all in full view of a brewing operation, so close you can touch the tanks. Big Grove Brewery & Taproom - Iowa City: Big Grove Brewery and Taproom is a 26,000 sq-ft brewery, restaurant and entertainment venue. Stop in for one of their award winning beers on tap, enjoy casual dining from a menu of street-food inspired small plates and sandwiches, play a game of ping pong, foosball or soak in some live music. Big Grove Brewery - Solon: Established in 2013, Big Grove features a changing variety of its own craft beer, brewed on site, along with an array of other local and nationally known micro-brews. The menu is a mix of traditional Iowa comfort food, great burgers, Neapolitan style pizzas and constantly changing, seasonally driven entrées. Cedar Ridge Winery & Distillery: Cedar Ridge is a family-owned vineyard, winery, distillery and event space. Award winning wines and small batch spirits are produced including Iowa’s highest rated wine and its first bourbon. Complimentary wine tastings, tours and a full menu are offered at the beautiful 7,000 square foot facility. Kalona Brewing Company: A craft brewery and restaurant in downtown Kalona, local craft beer made on site and a full-service restaurant featuring wood-fired pizzas, burgers, brats and beer battered onion rings. Many vegetarian and vegan options are available.

University of Iowa Museum of Art: While working to rebuild a permanent home following the flood of 2008, selected works from the UIMA collections are on view at the Figge Art Museum in Davenport and the UIMA@IMU Visual Classroom at the Iowa Memorial Union in Iowa City.

Brown Deer Golf Course: Voted for the third year in a row by Iowa City Press Citizen & Corridor Business Journal readers as the best golf course in the corridor. Brown Deer is an 18-hole public course with driving range and practice facility. They also offer a full service pro shop and banquet facilities. The 60 acre course offers some of the most picturesque and challenging golf in the Midwest. Finkbine Golf Course: Finkbine Golf Course is the University of Iowa Athletics Department championship golf course and is home to the Men’s and Women’s Collegiate Teams. Named for W.O. Finkbine, who donated the land to The University of Iowa, this scenic golf course, from the championship tee, stretches over 7,200 yards of rolling Iowa terrain, and plays to a par 72 with a USGA course rating of 74.6 and slope rating of 134.

Experience 100+ years of athletic excellence under one spacious roof, from Nile Kinnick’s 1939 Heisman Trophy, to the winning softball pitched by Iowa’s undefeated 1997 Big Ten championship team, to the trophies won by the Hawks’ NCAA wrestling championship teams.

With 207 acres of riverfront, lake, prairie, and timber, Terry Trueblood Recreation Area has become a popular stop for outdoor enthusiasts who want to fish, kayak, hike, or bird-watch. Other amenities include picnic shelters, a boat marina that offers equipment for rent, and a magnificent wood and copper lodge poised on the edge of the lake that may be rented fro weddings and other special events.
