RENOVATED IN 2024! Lake Lawn Resort is a beautiful lakeside resort and conference center located near Lake Geneva, in southeast Wisconsin. We are nestled on Delavan Lake, only 45 minutes from Madison and Milwaukee, and 90 miles from Chicago. Situated on over 250 wooded acres, with 2 miles of lake front, we truly are an ideal setting for both business and pleasure alike. With 271 guest rooms many of which have recently been renovated, over 32,000 square feet of meeting space, and recreational possibilities that include an 18 hole golf course, boat rentals, water sports and a newly updated Calladora spa, we have something to offer groups of all sizes and tastes. In August of 2016, chef Laurel Burleson launched the Ugly Apple Food Cart. She has been cooking in professional kitchens since high school and has a degree in hospitality management. After cooking for several years around Chicago and Madison, she saw how much was going to waste of this fantastic Midwestern produce. She envisioned owning a cafe that focused on delicious local produce.
Hence, the Ugly Apple was born.
Like the story of the Ugly Duckling, the Ugly Apple might not be bought at market but can still make a beautiful fritter.
