Om oss
The iconic Great Northern Hotel is situated in the heart of Newcastle. Surviving depressions, recessions, floods and earthquakes, the building still stands alone as an art deco treasure situated in the historic East End convict precinct. The establishment is 145 years old in name, making it the oldest pub in Newcastle’s CBD. The Hotel has been rebuilt three times in the same location, with the current building opening its doors to the public in 1938. The Great Northern Hotel has three distinct areas that can be hired out in entirety or sectioned off for smaller groups. Whether it be a canapé menu, or sit down feast, we’ll help you develop an event that suits your style and budget.
