Low Head Tourist Park (incorporating Low Head Backpackers and Low Head Beach Front Holiday Village) is located at the mouth of the Tamar River in the picturesque Tamar Valley in Low Head, 3 minutes north of George Town, 40 minutes north of Launceston and 90 minutes from the Spirit of Tasmania Ferry Terminal at Devonport. We offer affordable accommodation of a very high standard to suit a variety of budget conscious travellers. Our 12 large 4 star self contained water view cottages are ideal for two to six people. Beautifully appointed with queen size beds, split system air conditioning, large bathrooms, well equipped kitchens and high definition LCD TV's and a balcony to relax and enjoy the breathtaking views of the Tamar River. We also have six 3 star economy cabins with two to five berth with double beds, TV's, split system air conditioning, cooking and bathroom facilities. A fully enclosed children's play area is located close by. Our 4 star water view park has powered, un-powered and ensuite sites catering for motor homes, caravans and campers with views of the Tamar River, a new amenities block, disabled facilities, undercover BBQ area, campers kitchen and laundry. Our 3 star camp ground has unpowered sites, amenities block, laundry and undercover BBQ area. We also have on site vans each with private ensuites available for short term or long term stays.
