Every building in the small country village of Ashton is built of stone and thatch. The Chequered Skipper, set upon the village green has long been a favorite with ramblers, cyclists and those looking to take a trip to unearth a country secret in a village that might have been lost in time. The Chequered Skipper has recently opened a new corporate event function area & restaurant called 'The Green Room'. This new exciting space located in adjoining tastefully converted barns, provides a flexible area for larger parties, functions and business events. The new area will comfortably seat 60 diners and for larger events a marquee can be added to accommodate 150 seated diners.
