American Ghost Walks

The Ugly Apple Cafe

In August of 2016, chef Laurel Burleson launched the Ugly Apple Food Cart. She has been cooking in professional kitchens since high school and has a degree in hospitality management. After cooking for several years around Chicago and Madison, she saw how much was going to waste of this fantastic Midwestern produce. She envisioned owning a cafe that focused on delicious local produce. Hence, the Ugly Apple was born. Like the story of the Ugly Duckling, the Ugly Apple might not be bought at market but can still make a beautiful fritter. We lifted off in November of 2016 and love serving the community of Madison, Wisconsin with the cart and with “Breakfast All Day” catering! Give us a call to discuss your upcoming event!
