LOCATION Viru hotel is right in the heart of Tallinn, overlooking the gateway to its greatest attraction its medieval Old Town. The city’s main concert halls, the Estonia National Opera, shopping centres and entertainment venues are all an easy stroll away.There is a wealth of sights, shopping opportunities and leisure activities in the close vicinity of the hotel. ACCOMMODATION The hotel has 516 rooms in total. Cosy Standard rooms take their lead from modest but trendy Scandinavian design. Every room comes with all of the mod cons you would expect, including flat screen TVs and free WiFi. The Superior wing with 93 rooms spread out over three floors,has a cosy lounge on every level. The spacious rooms offer greater comfort, as well as everything you will need if you have to get some work done. Moreover, they represent an oasis of calm amid the hustle and bustle of the city centre. Suites are perfect for special moments, as are its Deluxe rooms, which boast their own saunas. CONFERENCE AND BANQUET CENTRE The meeting rooms and dining and banquet halls accommodate groups ranging in size from 10 to 1000. In total, 12 different meeting rooms are available, as well as 500 m 2 of exhibiting space and a range of solutions for organizing exhibitions. RESTAURANTS The Merineitsi restaurant offers guests breakfast in the hotel’s banquet hall. Conferences, buffets and dinner events for up to 500 people can also be organised in the restaurant. With its relaxed atmosphere, Amarillo is renowned for its spicy Tex Mex cuisine and famous throughout the city for its margaritas. You can dine on the terrace in summer. Lobby Bar is a great place to meet people in the hotel’s foyer. Viru's rooftop terrace bar offers great coctails and best city views during the summer. ESTONIA’S FIRST HOTEL MUSEUM The hotel’s museum shines the light on secret spaces and mysterious items from the period when the infamous KGB bugged guests’ rooms and eavesdropped on their conversations. Guided tours provide sometimes astonishing stories of how the hotel managed to provide first rate services at all during the Soviet era.

Benefits for meeting organisers: when your group is accommodated at Sokos Hotel during a meeting or training event, we offer the meeting organiser the following services: * The room is available immediately at arrival if possible * The schedule of the day is discussed with the meeting organiser at a time most appropriate for him/her * The meeting room is available an hour before the event begins * The key of the meeting room is made available to the meeting organiser * The meeting organiser will be provided with an access phone number of the hotel staff * An office room free of charge available to the meeting organiser (please note: office rooms available only in some hotels) * The meeting organiser may check out from his/her room after the event is over, however no later than at 4 p.m. For all organisers of daytime meetings we make a video projector and one free broadband access available free of charge. Kindly mention if you need a video projector or broadband access when placing your order. Please ask for details about these and other benefits when placing your order.

Yes, Plastic straws and stirrers replaced with eco-friendly alternatives offered on request. Branded plastic pens are replaced with recyclable pens. Use of refillable soaps and shampoos where possible. Pins in hotel rooms to help sort plastic waste.
