The Chichester was created in 1975 from converted oak beamed farm buildings suitably renovated and extended; The Chichester is undoubtedly the premier function venue within the triangle bounded by Basildon, Southend and Chelmsford in which it is situated. Set in open farmland surroundings in the green belt and with car parking for 160 cars, we specialize in catering for celebrations of all kinds - Wedding Receptions and Civil Ceremonies, Dinner Dances, Annual Dinners, Club and Business Meetings, etc. The oak-beamed Tudor Room and Essex Barn are self-contained suites, each with a bar and dance-floor. A wide range of banquet menus are available and for less formal functions, we are pleased to be able to offer a multi choice menu for up to 160 diners, with no need for preselection. For a party with buffet up to 225 guests can be accommodated.
