As an event platform, the Autostadt offers a variety of workshops, cooking classes, lectures, concerts and other events for all ages. Depending on the time of year, the automotive theme park turns into an exciting summer or winter wonderland for several weeks. Special attractions range from a snow-covered landscape and ice shows, to circus acrobatics and much more. The Movimentos Festival staged in spring features a series of cultural events, including performances by international dance companies, staged readings and classical concerts.

Each of the pavilions expresses its own brand philosophy via its architecture. Once inside, the visitor is enveloped by the illustrated world of this particular brand. The pavilions lie in the centre of the park: Volkswagen and Audi to the north, further south are SEAT, Škoda, Lamborghini and the Premium Clubhouse. The Porsche pavilion constructed adjacent to the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles pavilion, right next to the lagoon. The striking Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles pavilion is in the South-East of the park.

The Autostadt is the world’s largest new car delivery centre and home to the multi-brand ZeitHaus car museum. It is renowned for its diversity of exhibits – over 60 different brands representing the world of the automobile are housed here. Trailblazers of their time, they set the standard as far as technology, design, production methods and concept were concerned and became the models for other manufacturers. Displayed in their glass cases, more than 50 of these automobile milestones are to be seen in the ZeitHaus’s rack. They provide an overview of the most important eras in the development of the car. The exhibition alternates its exhibits regularly because the vehicles are often used to participate in classic rallies or excursions.

The Autostadt lagoon landscape will be transformed into a world full of adventure, fun and activity for six weeks in the summer months. During the first four weeks, acrobats, actors, musicians and trapeze artists from all over the world will turn the theme park on the Mittelland Canal into a huge open-air stage. The Autostadt park turns into an adventure zone where young guests can try out the soft-padded giant Airtramp, test the new free-fall slide, or even become an artist in the hands-on circus activities. The biggest Summer Festival attraction by far is the series of Cirque Nouveau performances presented during the first four weeks of the festival.

The monkeyman features a special type of adventure in the heart of the city and right on the Aller lake. There are four obstacle courses 4 metres up and 13 metres in length. You do not have to be very fit, as the main idea is to have a walk on the wild side. There are also two courses for youngsters at least one metre in height and under ten years old. If you do not fancy heights, you can take a Segway scooter to see the city while remaining upright. There is lots of fun to be had on the ropes or on the scooters.
