San Want Hotel Xining is located in the middle area of Xining, Qinghai Province, the starting point of Qinghai-Tibet Railway with the highest elevation in the world. It is conveniently situated in the golden location of the city center, and also the busiest section of the city. The city is only 15 minutes’ ride away from Xining Railway Station and Bus Station, and 35 minutes’ ride away from Caojiapu Airport. Adjacent to Wangfujing Department Store, West Street Department Store and other famous shopping centers, and Shuijingxiang Shopping Mall, you can reach the elegant and pleasant green land – center square by 3 minutes’ walk. It is 1 hour’s ride away from Qinghai Lake, the largest famous inland saltwater lake of China; it is a sightseeing and summer resort. 26 storeys high, the Hotel owns 252 guest rooms, with modern design concept, and elegant indoor decoration, and provides seven different room types; it is the first choice for business travels and vacation tours. Humidifiers can be provided because of dry climate, and there are tips for altitude acclimatization; attentive services make you feel comfortable and relieved. Located in the fifth floor of the Hotel, covering an area of 474 square meters, it can accommodate more than 300 people. Elegant designs, spaces that can be partitioned according to guest demands, deluxe audiovisual equipment, professional lighting, and Tibetan dance with great originality make you feel the ardour of the people of the plateau. It is the very best choice for entertainment, wedding banquets, year-end banquets, wine parties, meetings, demonstrations and symposiums.

The only way to find out about it was via word of mouth. No address was given, the only clue being a sign placed in the window, “Cocktails Here”. A lot of people thought it was pretty cool, even before The New York Times wrote about it. But that was all pre-pandemic, and this is a new era.
