The Grand Hotel Ortigia is located on the natural island of Ortigia, from which it takes its name. In the historic centre, but not far from the new part of town, the five-star hotel is located in the Marina di Siracusa fifty metres from the embarcation point for the organised boat trips and for the ferry to the hotel’s beach, at Punta del Pero, which is open from June to September. Among the fifty-eight rooms there are sixteen junion en-suite and deluxe suite. All the rooms are furnished in an elegant style and they are provided with modern technological communications. The hotel offers specialized spaces and staff for your business meetings or celebrations of happy moments in your life.

Strazzanti was created by the 3 Strazzanti sisters with our youngest sister & professional Chef Emilia leading the experiences directly in Sicily. We continue the story and memories of our grandparents who taught us everything about our Sicilian and Neapolitan heritage. Growing up we understood our Italian heritage through them as people, their stories and by sharing, eating and cooking the dishes that they grew up with from their homeland and using the ingredients that our relatives would send to us in England from Sicily & Naples in small parcels. When our grandparents left us, it reinforced as a family that what they taught and shared with us is a huge part of our cultural identity, and we could not risk that heritage disappearing. Together as a family and working with other Sicilian families our passion is to give back to the land and work with like-minded young entrepreneurs, landowners and farmers in Sicily to keep this heritage and Sicilian traditions, which we all lovingly grew up with, alive.
