Restaurant Grotta Azzurra is located on the waterfront of Scilla, a mile of beach and clear blue sea, against the backdrop of the Castle of Ruffo of Scilla. Overlooking the sea of the Strait of Messina during summer days you can see the panorama of Sicily and the Aeolian Islands. The restaurant offers menù consisting mainly in fresh fish caught in the sea of Scilla, prepared according to traditional recipes and local secrets to offer a class cuisine dedicated to gourmet and connoisseurs of fish, treated with care in presentation to enhance all the flavors and scents of the sea. The dining rooms are spacious and furnished with style, with elements from the world of fishing, vintage photos and a marine aquarium with different species. Restaurant's rooms offer a magnificent panoramic view the waterfront of Scilla, of the Sirens beach and the Castle Ruffo, and are the perfect place to spend romantic or relaxation moments enjoying the specialties of our chef, or to organize ceremonies, banquets, baptisms, communions, weddings, meetings and other events.

Strazzanti was created by the 3 Strazzanti sisters with our youngest sister & professional Chef Emilia leading the experiences directly in Sicily. We continue the story and memories of our grandparents who taught us everything about our Sicilian and Neapolitan heritage. Growing up we understood our Italian heritage through them as people, their stories and by sharing, eating and cooking the dishes that they grew up with from their homeland and using the ingredients that our relatives would send to us in England from Sicily & Naples in small parcels. When our grandparents left us, it reinforced as a family that what they taught and shared with us is a huge part of our cultural identity, and we could not risk that heritage disappearing. Together as a family and working with other Sicilian families our passion is to give back to the land and work with like-minded young entrepreneurs, landowners and farmers in Sicily to keep this heritage and Sicilian traditions, which we all lovingly grew up with, alive.
