About us
Sitting perched atop a beautiful hill overlooking Lake Abashiri, HOKUTEN NO OKA Lake Abashiri Tsuruga Resort represents a new resort concept that showcases a soothing design ambiance inspired by the history and culture of the northern peoples, fostering romanticism for a bygone era. Guests are first welcomed by the warmly appointed entrance lobby, designed after a traditional pit house in which the mysterious Okhotsk people once lived countless generations ago. The hotel’s interior is accented throughout with artwork, carvings, and decorations that pay homage to Okhotsk culture. Hotel staff also serves guests while dressed in garments inspired by traditional Uilta dress.
