About us

Villa Las Tronas is the delightful 5-star hotel that has become the symbol of Alghero - "the Golden Door to tourism in Sardinia" - situated on the Riviera del Corallo on the north-west coast of the Sardinia Island. All the enchantment of a bay that has been described as the most beautiful in the Mediterranean, a few steps away from the lively town of Alghero. The hotel offers 24 rooms and suites, some with a terrace, opening onto magnificent views of the park or sea. Welcoming and bright, each is different from the others, just as the tastes and passions of each of us are different. Dining at Villa Las Tronas is an experience to be shared with the one you love; highly personalized service is available, for special events and wedding banquets for 2 to 70 people. The ideal place for top-level meetings. The private meeting-room holds 2 to 30 people.

Strazzanti was created by the 3 Strazzanti sisters with our youngest sister & professional Chef Emilia leading the experiences directly in Sicily. We continue the story and memories of our grandparents who taught us everything about our Sicilian and Neapolitan heritage. Growing up we understood our Italian heritage through them as people, their stories and by sharing, eating and cooking the dishes that they grew up with from their homeland and using the ingredients that our relatives would send to us in England from Sicily & Naples in small parcels. When our grandparents left us, it reinforced as a family that what they taught and shared with us is a huge part of our cultural identity, and we could not risk that heritage disappearing. Together as a family and working with other Sicilian families our passion is to give back to the land and work with like-minded young entrepreneurs, landowners and farmers in Sicily to keep this heritage and Sicilian traditions, which we all lovingly grew up with, alive.
