About us
You’ll love the unique character of this former jailhouse, which has been sympathetically converted into a charming hotel and lively brasserie. Thanks to its superb location in the heart of the old town, welcoming staff and good value for money, "au violon" is a special place to stay that offers its guests a wonderful culinary experience. The hotel has 20 rooms offering excellent value for money, simply but tastefully furnished, on two floors. Our brasserie offers space for groups up to 15 people. For bigger parties we suggest our banquet room, which is convenient for up to 25 people. The little room on the 1st floor is charmingly and cosily furnished, and has a marvelous view to the Basle Cathedral (Münster).
