About us

Hotel Lo Spedalicchio is located at Piazza Bruno Buozzi, 3 Ospedalicchio di Bastia Umbra, Perugia (PG). Thed hotel is welcoming its guests in 25 rooms, most of them located in large spaces at the noble floor, with high vaulted ceilings, also with mezzanine, and floors in brick; in the two lateral towers the roof is sustained by wood reinforcements. The rooms, divided between superior and standard, are equipped with wooden furniture, according to the tradition of the territory, typical fabrics of Umbria and ceramics of Deruta. Strictly linked to the reception of the hotel; we have an Holiday House with three apartments. The hotel offers a convention room, located apart and in a quiet place, where it is possible to organize work meetings, training courses, meetings, exhibitions and, according to the various modalities of organization, this room can welcome up to one hundred persons.

Strazzanti was created by the 3 Strazzanti sisters with our youngest sister & professional Chef Emilia leading the experiences directly in Sicily. We continue the story and memories of our grandparents who taught us everything about our Sicilian and Neapolitan heritage. Growing up we understood our Italian heritage through them as people, their stories and by sharing, eating and cooking the dishes that they grew up with from their homeland and using the ingredients that our relatives would send to us in England from Sicily & Naples in small parcels. When our grandparents left us, it reinforced as a family that what they taught and shared with us is a huge part of our cultural identity, and we could not risk that heritage disappearing. Together as a family and working with other Sicilian families our passion is to give back to the land and work with like-minded young entrepreneurs, landowners and farmers in Sicily to keep this heritage and Sicilian traditions, which we all lovingly grew up with, alive.
