Uncover a rare gem set among the grandeur of ancient Asia – The Opposite House. Premiering in the summer of 2008, this striking Beijing luxury hotel was designed by renowned Japanese architect Kengo Kuma with space, warmth, comfort, and style in mind. Located within the southern sector of the prestigious Village of Sanlitun’s courtyard, this captivating Beijing China luxury hotel derives its name from a translation of a Chinese word, describing the building set opposite the main house where esteemed travelers would be accommodated.

Taikoo Li Sanlitun, located at the junction of Worker’s Stadium North Road and Sanlitun Road in Chaoyang District, Beijing, comprises two sites with a total gross floor area of over 136,000 sq m (approx. 1,470,000 sq ft) * spreading over 19 buildings, including the award-winning urban hotel – The Opposite House. Taking inspiration from the hutongs, courtyards and alleyways of Beijing’s past and mixing it with its more worldly cosmopolitan present, Taikoo Li Sanlitun offers more than 200 shops, plus cafes, restaurants and bars, an 8-screen MEGABOX cinema, a unique cultural entertainment space, The Orange, and parking for more than 880 cars. The retail portions of Taikoo Li Sanlitun are jointly owned by Swire Properties, which holds an 80 percent stake, and Gateway China Fund I (a fund managed by Gaw Capital) that owns the remaining 20 percent. The Opposite House of Swire Hotels is wholly-owned by Swire Properties.

Ideal location and contemporary design, The Opposite House creates an ideal setting to host events, including cocktail parties, press conferences, small gatherings and weddings. Bei Space Designed by Neri&Hu Design and Research Office, Bei Space is a modern and contemporary venue choice for everything from cocktail parties to press conferences, dinners to weddings. With approximately 600-sqm(6000-sqft)of space, it can accommodate up to a maximum capacity of 200 people. And don't worry about feeling hungry. All our restaurants can cater for your event at Bei Space, so if you have a specific craving for any of our menu items – such as Jing Yaa Tang's sumptuous dim sum lunch and signature roast duck or Sureño's exotic Mediterranean cuisine – just let us know and we'll do our best to accommodate your request.
