About us
The Varsity Hotel and Spa is a beautiful boutique hotel in the heart of the Cambridge city centre making it the perfect place for your next event. Our stunning Roof Top Terrace and SIX Panoramic Bar and Brasserie with floor to ceiling windows on the 6th floor of the hotel sets us apart because it is the only place in Cambridge where you can host an event with 360° degree views of the historic Cambridge skyline. In addition, our venue also offers a conference room, 47 beautifully decorated bedrooms, an additional restaurant (River Bar Steakhouse and Grill) with a private dining room on the River Cam, a health club with daily studio classes, and an Elemis spa. King's, Christ's, Queens', Gonville and Caius, Clare, Corpus Christi and the remaining colleges are only a leisurely walk away and can be viewed from the hotel. Our location is unique, we are the closest of all the Cambridge hotels to St John's , Trinity, Jesus and Magdalene College. Cancelling Individual Rooms Up until 6 weeks before arrival, up to 50% of the contracted room nights can be released from the group for no additional charge. The extra portion of the initial 20% deposit paid on the full amount of contracted room nights can be put towards payment of the next instalment due. From 6 weeks before arrival to 3 weeks prior to arrival date only 10% of the current quota of room nights you have can be released. The extra portion of the initial 50% deposit paid on the full amount of contracted room nights can be put towards the final payment. All cancellations must be made in writing (by mail, email or fax) to The Varsity Hotel & Spa. Rooming List A rooming list is required in writing (by mail, email or fax) at least 7 days prior to the date of arrival. Any unallocated rooms (without names of person(s) staying there) after we have received the rooming list will be released and no refund given. Non Arrivals If there are any non arrivals these will be subject to a charge of the full room rate per night and no refunds given.
