About us
The Chesterhouse is located on the seafront of Douglas and has 67 rooms. Shiraz is also an ideal venue, with its panoramic views of Douglas bay, for private parties, weddings, christenings and Christmas celebrations. The Chesterhouse hotel with Its Executive lounge has an ideal venue for social and business meetings alike. For larger corporate events the hotel can call on the unique space of either the Amber bar and lounge or the Shiraz restaurant.

Although primarily giving tours around New York City, I am available for tours in Philadelphia and Boston, if any should desire - and I love taking people to Washington D.C.
But perhaps what I most like is taking people on walks across some of the great bridges around our city: the Brooklyn Bridge, and especially the Williamsburg Bridge - and don't forget the great George Washington Bridge - for walks along the Palisades!

Once upon a time in 2016, Matt Levy, founder of Covert Cocktail Club, hosted a secret speakeasy as an intimate place for strangers to gather in his home. The only way to find out about it was via word of mouth. No address was given, the only clue being a sign placed in the window, “Cocktails Here”.
A lot of people thought it was pretty cool, even before The New York Times wrote about it. But that was all pre-pandemic, and this is a new era.

The Brooklyn Comedy Collective is a comedy theater and school in Brooklyn with a mission to produce irreverent, fearless shows from a wide range of voices and inspire students to approach performance from a place of joy and fierceness.
