The Ugly Apple Cafe
Madison
In August of 2016, chef Laurel Burleson launched the Ugly Apple Food Cart. She has been cooking in professional kitchens since high school and has a degree in hospitality management. After cooking for several years around Chicago and Madison, she saw how much was going to waste of this fantastic Midwestern produce. She envisioned owning a cafe that focused on delicious local produce.
Hence, the Ugly Apple was born.
Like the story of the Ugly Duckling, the Ugly Apple might not be bought at market but can still make a beautiful fritter. We lifted off in November of 2016 and love serving the community of Madison, Wisconsin with the cart and with “Breakfast All Day” catering! Give us a call to discuss your upcoming event!

A Private Country Club Committed to Personal Service The River Club of Mequon is a private country club under the management of Heritage Golf Group. Located in the northern suburb of Milwaukee; Mequon. The Club overlooks the beautiful southeastern Wisconsin scenery. The River Club of Mequon has three distinct nines that provide an abundance of beauty and plenty of challenges. Built in 1963, it was these 338 acres of elegant terrain that allowed original course designer David Gill, with recent upgrades from architect Bob Lohman, to incorporate water, rolling grasslands, and fairway-tightening timber into an enjoyable and stimulating test of golf for players of all skill levels. Midwest Indie? Yes, really. Eau Claire, Wisconsin, could probably lay claim to being “The Indie Capital of the Midwest,” but trademarking that would be far too corporate a move for this independent-minded university town. Instead, Eau Claire, located at the confluence of the crystal clear Eau Claire and Chippewa Rivers, goes its own way and encourages everyone who visits to come along for the ride. This is where farm kids grow up to be artists and entrepreneurs. Where alternative is a positive. Where attitude is more important than age. Where hospitality is legit. Where originality is celebrated. In other words, indie.
