About us

Nestled on the hills of Florence in a hand restored 15th century villa with breath-taking views across the city and its dome, Il Salviatino is immersed in the greenery of a 5 hectares majestic private park. The tree-lined road that sinuously leads up to the villa, will take you back to the times when the great masters Salvador Dalì and Gabriele D’Annunzio animated Il Salviatino with their literary salons. Facilities include: 39 double rooms and suites, restaurants and bars, wellness center, swimming pool, gym and organic garden, while venues range from the historic library, pool area, the unique Italian Gardens and terrace overlooking the city of Florence. The property is 10 minutes from the city centre, 25 minutes from Florence International airport (FLR), 30 minutes from the Chianti region and 1 hour from Siena. Il Salviatino is part of the Tearose Group and thanks to the experience of Tearose Events and Weddings - one of the leading flowers and events designers in Italy - we could assist you in creating an unforgettable and tailor-made event.

Strazzanti was created by the 3 Strazzanti sisters with our youngest sister & professional Chef Emilia leading the experiences directly in Sicily. We continue the story and memories of our grandparents who taught us everything about our Sicilian and Neapolitan heritage. Growing up we understood our Italian heritage through them as people, their stories and by sharing, eating and cooking the dishes that they grew up with from their homeland and using the ingredients that our relatives would send to us in England from Sicily & Naples in small parcels. When our grandparents left us, it reinforced as a family that what they taught and shared with us is a huge part of our cultural identity, and we could not risk that heritage disappearing. Together as a family and working with other Sicilian families our passion is to give back to the land and work with like-minded young entrepreneurs, landowners and farmers in Sicily to keep this heritage and Sicilian traditions, which we all lovingly grew up with, alive.
