About us

The Bird of Paradise Hotel is conveniently located right in the centre of town, overlooking the surrounding mountain ranges. Offering the best in accommodation, this ranges from Standard rooms to large Premier Suites and 1-bedroom fully serviced apartments. The outdoor heated swimming pool offers a children’s play area in semi-tropical gardens, with well-stocked Soda Bar only steps away - this is the perfect place to relax and unwind. Both, the Goroka Fitness Club and Goroka Squash Club are located on the premises. A la carte Lahani Restaurant, popular for its seafood buffet, and the Deck Bistro are the town's most popular meeting places, with Enzo's Pizzas available each day. Its Conference centre, being the largest in town, hosts meetings and functions from as small as 5 to a maximum of 100 people seated theatre style. Qantas Frequent Flyer member's rates are available so members can earn points with each Kina spent. Hibiscus Conference Room is 100m2 and can cater for up to 150 at cocktail functions. The Board Room and adjoining lounge are also popular. Air Niugini offers 2 flights per day to Goroka from Port Moresby. Other second-level airlines fly daily connecting Goroka with Lae, Mt Hagen and Madang. "The Bird's" courtesy shuttle meets all flights into Goroka, for a 2-minute ride to the hotel.
