About us
In 1142, the first certified guest house in Switzerland stood in this area. In 1932, the first electrically heated hotel in Europed caused quite a sensation. These enviromental considerations also had to be taken into account when the hotel was completely renovated between 2008 and 2010 and the whole hotel is now heated by using hydroelectric waste-heat. As a historic 4-star alpine hotel in the heart of the KWO catchment area, the Hotel Hospiz reigns majestically above the Grimsel storage lake.
