About us

Offley Place Country House Hotel is situated between Hitchin (A1M) and Luton (M1) in the village of Great Offley. Set in 27 acres of park land overlooking Great Offley church which had close links with the old manor house. The original house dates back to the 17th century and was in the Spencer family for over 300 years until it was sold in 1929. The 16 bedrooms in the main house have been individually styled to preserve the feel of the old manor house with the comfort of modern facilities. Offley place has 4 stunning rooms in which to hold your civil ceremony. Our Conservatory and Salusbury lounge are available for private hire to host special events. Offley Place previously acquired by Hertfordshire County Council in 1953 is now privately owned and its reputation continues to flourish. Due to its tranquil environment and surroundings, Offley Place continues to be an excellent choice for conferences and training days as well as being the perfect setting for special occasions, civil ceremonies, baby naming ceremonies, private functions and fine dining.
