About us

Situated just 11km outside of Hoedspruit on the Phalaborwa road, Dithaba Game Lodge offers guests a unique opportunity to get acquainted with nature and the natural wild life of the Lowveld and the Timbavati Area. You will enjoy the sights and sounds of the magnificent Blyde Olifants Conservancy area and relax, away from the city. These natural surroundings are as nature intended them to be - peaceful and tranquil. The Lodge accommodates up to 18 persons at a time with 3 chalets sleeping 2 guests each and 2 self catering cottages sleeping up to 6 guests. Our Mini Conference Facility is unique for a bush environment, with all the necessary facilities to make your meeting a success. The Conference Room is used for small Receptions, Birthday Celebrations etc. A Conference Bar is available to keep the functions very private with the use of the Pool Room attached.

Once upon a time in 2016, Matt Levy, founder of Covert Cocktail Club, hosted a secret speakeasy as an intimate place for strangers to gather in his home. The only way to find out about it was via word of mouth. No address was given, the only clue being a sign placed in the window, “Cocktails Here”. A lot of people thought it was pretty cool, even before The New York Times wrote about it. But that was all pre-pandemic, and this is a new era. Liberated from the confines of a single location, Covert Cocktail Club now brings the speakeasy right to your door—be it at your home, office, bar mitzvah, dinner party, bachelor/ette party or anywhere you choose!
